TVC Legacy Campaigns
John Lewis
Few brands have redefined emotional storytelling in British advertising the way John Lewis did in the early 2010s. As Head of Production at adam&eve, Leila oversaw the full production ecosystem behind multiple John Lewis campaigns, including three that stopped the nation in its tracks.
"A Tribute to Givers", directed by Eric Lynne, featured Ellie Goulding's cover of "Your Song," a recording so embedded in popular culture that Goulding later performed it at the wedding of Prince William & Kate Middleton. "Always a Woman" and "The Long Wait", both directed by Dougal Wilson through Blink Productions, became central to a body of work that defined a decade of British Christmas advertising. Both won D&AD Pencils. Both made the nation cry.
Leila brokered the collaboration between adam&eve, Leland Music, John Lewis, & Universal Music, bringing together the tracks into "Reworked," a charity album sold through John Lewis & Waitrose stores, raising funds for Save the Children.
These campaigns went on to win at D&AD and the British Arrows.
